Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group), has reported robust performance for the first half of 2025, recording a 60% year-on-year increase in revenue and a 71% surge in gross profit, according to its unaudited financial results for the period ended June 30, 2025.
Revenue rose from ₦29.72 billion in H1 2024 to ₦47.57 billion in H1 2025, while gross profit jumped from ₦21.19 billion to ₦36.21 billion. This pushed the company’s gross profit margin up to 76%, a significant feat amid prevailing economic headwinds, including high inflation and rising operating costs.
In a move to reward shareholders, Transcorp Hotels announced an interim dividend of ₦1.024 billion, translating to ₦0.10 per 50 kobo ordinary share, subject to appropriate withholding tax.
The hospitality giant also marked a strategic milestone during the reporting period with the launch of the 5,000-seat Transcorp Centre — Nigeria’s largest corporate event venue — further consolidating its leadership in the country’s hospitality and events industry.
Chairman of Transcorp Hotels Plc, Emmanuel Nnorom, described the performance as a validation of the company’s growth strategy.
