United States President, Donald Trump, has issued a stark warning that Iran could face overwhelming military action within hours if it fails to meet a deadline set by Washington.
In a post shared on Tuesday via Truth Social, Trump suggested that Iran was on the brink of catastrophic destruction, describing the moment as potentially decisive in global history.
He indicated that while such an outcome would be undesirable, it remained a likely possibility, adding that a change in leadership in Tehran could open the door to a different future.
He wrote, “A whole civilisation will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?
“We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”
The warning followed earlier remarks on Monday, where the US president said Iran risked being completely wiped out in a single night if it refused to agree to a ceasefire deal.
He stressed that Tehran must comply with US demands or face intensified attacks targeting critical infrastructure across the country.
Trump had also outlined key conditions for any agreement, including Iran abandoning its pursuit of nuclear weapons and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil transit route.
