
ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Federal Government has officially declared Tuesday, August 25, 2026, as a public holiday to commemorate this year’s Eid ul Mawlid, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The announcement was made on behalf of the Federal Government by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in an official statement issued in Abuja by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani.
