AWKA — The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has officially endorsed the appointment of Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, as the Anambra State Campaign Coordinator for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.
In a statement issued in Awka on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the party leadership congratulated Soludo on his inclusion in the revised, cross-party campaign council structure, describing the development as a reflection of progressive political synergy across party lines.
Reaffirming the party’s strategic stance ahead of the 2027 general elections, APGA reiterated that it resolved not to field a presidential candidate for the 2027 cycle, choosing instead to align with the progressive movement at the center to foster regional infrastructural development and economic growth.
The party clarified that while APGA remains firmly in control of Anambra State’s local governance, its official political stance for the 2027 poll remains “Tinubu for President, APGA for Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly”.
Expressing confidence in Soludo’s intellectual depth and organizational capacity, APGA emphasized that his leadership role in the national campaign council will help mobilize South-East support for President Tinubu’s administration while facilitating strategic federal partnerships for Anambra State.
