PDP crisis: Judges always biased towards us – Turaki camp

A member of the Taminu Turaki-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Anthony Ehilebo, has accused judges handling the PDP case of bias towards them.

Ehilebo made this allegation on Monday during a live appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time monitored by The Lagos Times.

His remark is coming after the ruling of the Appeal Court on Monday, which dismissed the appeal brought before it by the Taminu Turaki-led faction of the party.

Recall that the Court also upheld the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja which on October 31, 2025, restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, from recognizing the outcome of the 2025 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Reacting, Ehilebo said, “The PDP has complained about the judges that are always biased towards us.

“You have to understand that the case before Justice James Omotosho was killed in a particular way because the national legal advisor at the time had attempted to sabotage that case and was allowed to sabotage that case by the judge that was hearing that matter.

“We have written to the CJN to recuse Justice Abdulmalik Joyce, Justice Lifu, and Justice Omotosho from hearing any matter that concerns us.”
