Nigeria Customs Invites 3,852 Shortlisted Recruits to Abuja

ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has formally invited 3,852 shortlisted candidates for physical verification, credential screening, and medical assessments at its headquarters and designated training centers in Abuja.

The invitation follows the release of the final shortlist by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, concluding a competitive selection process that drew 573,680 applications nationwide.

Breakdown of Invited Candidates by Cadre

Out of the total pool of 573,680 applicants, only 0.67% (approximately 1 out of every 148 applicants) were selected across the three operational cadres:

  • Superintendent Cadre: 1,275 candidates shortlisted (selected from 276,995 applicants; 1 in 217 success rate).

  • Inspectorate Cadre: 367 candidates shortlisted (selected from 128,604 applicants; 1 in 350 success rate).

  • Customs Assistant Cadre: 2,210 candidates shortlisted (selected from 168,081 applicants; 1 in 76 success rate).
