ABUJA — The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, has charged the party’s Presidential Campaign Council to maintain transparency and acknowledge ongoing socio-economic challenges while making the case for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election.
Speaking during a strategic campaign council briefing in Abuja, Yilwatda stressed that political confidence must not translate into complacency, urging campaign managers, state coordinators, and party communicators to directly address public concerns rather than evade difficult economic realities.
The APC chairman highlighted that earning the trust of the electorate requires honest dialogue regarding current national reforms, policy adjustments, and government interventions designed to cushion economic hardship across the country.
He reiterated that the ruling party is prepared to engage opposition forces in intellectual, issue-based debates regarding policy roadmaps, calling on campaign officials to clearly articulate the administration’s long-term developmental vision for national growth, security, and infrastructure.
Yilwatda emphasized that the National Working Committee will collaborate closely with the Presidential Campaign Council—chaired by President Tinubu with Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Zamfara Governor Abdulaziz Yari, and Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma in key leadership roles—to ensure a unified, inclusive nationwide campaign ahead of the January 2027 polls.
