LAGOS / ABUJA — Retail pump prices for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) have climbed to between ₦1,310 and ₦1,400 per litre across Nigeria, following a series of gantry price adjustments by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.
The retail surge follows Dangote Refinery’s decision to raise its ex-gantry price to ₦1,265 per litre—marking a total cumulative increase of ₦100 per litre (8.6%) across three price adjustments within eight days.
Three Gantry Adjustments in Eight Days
The refinery’s wholesale gantry prices experienced rapid upward revisions in late August 2026:

August 21: Raised from ₦1,165 to ₦1,185 per litre.

August 26: Raised by an additional ₦15 to ₦1,200 per litre.

August 29: Raised by ₦65 to ₦1,265 per litre.

Coastal Bulk Rate: Coastal PMS prices were adjusted from ₦1,582,380 to ₦1,669,545 per metric tonne.
