LAGOS, NIGERIA — Mr. Anthony Adeniyi “Niyi” Adeosun, businessman and husband of Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has passed away at the age of 62.
The announcement was made on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in an official statement issued on behalf of the family by Rev. C. A. Adeosun. The late businessman passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Lagos.

Announcing the transition on behalf of the family, Rev. C. A. Adeosun stated in the official release titled ‘Announcement of the passing of Mr Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun’:
