Details of Tinubu’s meeting with Duke of Edinburgh revealed

President Bola Tinubu hosted Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, at the State House in Abuja on Monday.

During the meeting Tinubu said his administration’s reforms are designed to equip Nigerian youths with globally competitive skills to secure their future.

“Our goal is to use education to drive down poverty,” Tinubu said.

The Presidential Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed the details of the discussions in a statement.

“We will be participating in the G-20 this week,” Tinubu said.

“It is the third time Africa is hosting the G-20. And the central issue is about our youth. We need to strengthen the economy for our youth.

“The reforms are about growth and prosperity for the nation.”

Prince Edward, in his response, commended the reforms introduced during Tinubu’s administration.

He also confirmed that the Lagos ceremonies would celebrate young Nigerians who are “pursuing their passions, developing relevant skills, and contributing to the nation’s growth and development.”
