From the halls of the National Library to the technical labs of the NBTE, the new line-up brings a blend of veteran experience and fresh oversight to the country’s academic regulatory bodies.
A standout in the announcement is the appointment of Prof. Modupe Adeola Adelabu as the new NECO Board Chairperson. This comes as Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi holds onto his seat as Registrar, signaling a “stability-first” approach for the examination body.
Over at the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Prof. Babatunde Salako steps in as Board Chairman, while the energetic Prof. Idris M. Bugaje prepares for his final lap with a five-year term renewal as Executive Secretary.
The “Lagos-style” drive for excellence extends to Plateau State, where Engr. Dr. Bongfa Binfa has been handed the reins as Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, N’yak-Shendam. Rounding out the list is Prof. Chinwe Veronica Anunobi, who will continue her mission to modernize the National Library of Nigeria for one final five-year term.
