EJIGBO, NIGERIA — Former Governor of Osun State and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has stated that he has remained completely faithful to his wife, Sherifat, and has never had an intimate relationship with any other woman since their marriage in 1983.
Speaking in Yoruba during an ADC campaign rally in Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State, the 69-year-old politician invoked his 43-year marital fidelity as a testament to his fear of God and personal devotion.
Aregbesola explained that he used his faithfulness as part of a personal covenant when seeking divine favor and intervention for his political movement.
