FCT Minister Nyesom Wike Credits Dan Orbih for His Emergence as Rivers State Governor

PORT HARCOURT — Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that God used Chief Dan Orbih, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as a pivotal instrument to facilitate his emergence as the Governor of Rivers State in 2015.

Wike made the revelation during a high-profile political gathering in Port Harcourt, where he reflected on his political journey, highlighting the critical role played by key regional allies during challenging party primaries and electoral contests.

The Minister explained that during a period of intense political maneuvering and opposition within party structures prior to the 2015 general elections, Chief Orbih provided strategic political backing, unwavering loyalty, and organizational coordination that shielded his gubernatorial ambition from internal sabotage.

Describing Orbih as a steadfast friend and dependable political strategist, Wike noted that leadership success relies on trustworthy allies who stand firm during pivotal political battles rather than fair-weather associates.

He urged upcoming political leaders to value loyalty and express gratitude to those who support their aspirations, emphasizing that acknowledging the contributions of key mentors and allies remains essential for maintaining political integrity and enduring partnerships.
