The 19 September Electioneering campaigns have reached a crescendo as the major Actors are fine tunning their strategies to clinch victory.
While I wouldn’t have bothered looking at the side of our major opponent – the pdp because of the APC superior political fire power, the popular GAMES THEORY states that ” victory is a combination of assessment of both the opponent and your own operational plans.
Firstly, the PDP lost the battle and the war when they brought a FORCE COMMANDER to command troops that he is not familiar with. History of catastrophic defeats in such scenario are too many to mention.
Secondly, the PDP forces are hybrid in nature with a complex cocktails of differing languages and personalities which complicate communications during operations.
Thirdly the PDP have different political weapons and ammunition from different sources without the benefit of harmonizing the training and skills at handling them.
Lastly the Commander:s trust deficit in human relations has alienated him from his subordinate commanders thereby making him vulnerable to the pdp hawks who are not concerned about winning but the emergent benefits.
The APC kamikaze is loaded with assorted political bombs ranging from a clear SIMPLE Agenda, Rational utilisation of scarce resources, Commitment of troops defined by loyalty to a course and Connection with the Electorate. Others include knowledge of the terrain, Homogeneity of the Allied forces and a sound Ligistic planning.
A confirmatory Reconnaissance by straw polls reveals a comprehensive victory for the APC and her candidate- POI. The Edo South is 60,% for APC., the North clearly 70% for the APC while the hitherto battle ground Central is 55% in favour of APC.
These statistics are notably on the rise before the KAMIKAZE landing. White the APC must avoid complacency, it is instructive to watch out for the Scorched earth tactics of withdrawing losing opponent through orchestrated violence, vitriolic verbal attacks and some saboteurs who are APC in the day time and pdp at night time.
The various security and intelligence agencies should nip the insidious thuggery and propensity for violence in the bud. The losing opponent’s last hope is to activate the violence machine to procure INEC’s threat to cancellation of the election and the judicial complex ambush.
The Judiciary should remain faithful to their fidelity to the constitution. The sponsors of violence and thuggery unfortunately have hidden their children in various parts of the advanced world.
It’s time for the these vulnerable and impoverished children who are recruited for violence to retrace their steps as they may not be too lucky to escape justice this time.
