Nigerian Air Force Opens 2026 Recruitment Drive for Tradesmen and Non-Tradesmen

ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially opened applications for its 2026 Recruitment Exercise for Airmen and Airwomen (Basic Military Training Course – BMTC).
The recruitment drive caters to both non-tradesmen/women (school leavers) and tradesmen/women (holders of diplomas, NCE, or technical trade certificates). The exercise is free and conducted online via the official NAF recruitment portal.
Core Eligibility Criteria & Entry Requirements

Nationality & Fitness: Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, medically, physically, and psychologically fit, and free of any prior criminal convictions.

Height Requirements: Minimum height of 1.66 metres for male applicants and 1.63 metres for female applicants.

Non-Tradesmen/Women:

Age Limit: Must be between 18 and 22 years.

Education: Minimum of 5 credits (including Mathematics and English Language) in SSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB obtained in no more than two sittings.

Tradesmen/Women:

Age Limit: Must be between 18 and 25 years (extended up to 28 years for specialized roles such as drivers and assistant chaplains/imams).

Education: Minimum of National Diploma (ND), NCE (Lower Credit), or recognized Trade Test Certificates, alongside SSCE passes including English Language.
