ABUJA / AKURE — Multiple pro-administration political organizations and support networks across Nigeria have officially activated door-to-door grassroots mobilization drives aimed at securing a second-term mandate for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The coordinated campaign rollout—spearheaded by platforms including Battalions for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Batts 4 BAT), Renewed Hope Agenda Continuity Marshals (REHACMA), Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB), Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), and the Ndigbo for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027 Forum (NDI-ABAT)—marks a major shift from early political maneuvering toward structured voter engagement at the ward, local government, and polling unit levels.
Speaking at the official unveiling of Batts 4 BAT in Akure, Ondo State, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, Commander Temitope Iwagun explained that the women-led platform, sponsored in part by Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, is focused on “Strategic Inclusion” through direct house-to-house advocacy. Iwagun emphasized that support for the president is grounded in tangible social interventions, specifically pointing to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), CreditCorp, and federal agricultural support schemes designed to cushion economic transition impacts.
Concurrently, in Abuja, leadership teams from REHACMA and TTB finalized a strategic partnership framework targeting youth demographics and women voters. National Coordinator Osawemwenhio Uwagboe stated that the initiative will highlight the administration’s long-term fiscal reforms, arguing that while structural decisions like fuel subsidy removal presented initial friction, they have successfully unlocked fiscal space for direct sub-national development, infrastructure investments, and student loan capitalizations.
The grassroots push follows similar regional activations across the South-East and South-South zones, where groups like NDI-ABAT and RTIFN have aligned with the City Boy Movement to conduct town halls, highlighting regional infrastructure deliveries such as the South-East Development Commission and major highway rehabilitations to build public support ahead of formal campaign windows.
