2027: Tinubu kicks off campaign in Kaduna October 24

ABUJA — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will officially launch his 2027 presidential re-election campaign in Kaduna on Saturday, October 24, 2026, marking the formal start of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) nationwide campaign tour.

The Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, disclosed the campaign timetable while addressing State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday, October 9, 2026, following a closed-door strategy meeting with the President.

Senator Yari revealed that prior to the formal flag-off in Kaduna, the campaign council will convene its inaugural organizational meeting on Wednesday, October 14, at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja to finalize operational logistics and coordinate regional deployment committees.

According to the approved schedule, the campaign trail will move from Kaduna to key geopolitical hubs across the nation, with major zonal rallies already slated for Port Harcourt in the South-South and Maiduguri in the North-East immediately following the Kaduna launch.

Expressing strong optimism regarding the ruling party’s electoral prospects, Yari predicted a decisive victory for President Tinubu in 2027, citing the expanding number of state governors aligning with the party, structural advantages across key geopolitical zones, and widespread public support for ongoing economic reforms.
