WASHINGTON, D.C. — Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, accompanied by the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), and senior intelligence chiefs, led a high-level Nigerian security delegation to the United States for strategic bilateral security talks aimed at tackling terrorism, banditry, and regional instability across Nigeria and the broader Sahel.
The bilateral engagements centered on strengthening intelligence sharing, acquiring modern military hardware, enhancing capacity building, and coordinating operational strategy under the U.S.–Nigeria Joint Working Group security framework.

Strategic Bilateral Dialogue: The Nigerian delegation held closed-door meetings with senior U.S. government officials, defense counterparts, and Vice President J.D. Vance to review counterterrorism cooperation and intelligence-led operations in West Africa.
