The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared that no government or worldly system can guarantee true, lasting peace, emphasizing that genuine peace is a divine gift that comes solely from God.
Oyedepo made the remarks while ministering at the dedication of Dreamland, Master’s City—the newly completed worship center of Master’s Place International Church in Warri, Delta State. His message was made public through a statement released by the host church’s media unit.
“You Cannot Find Peace in the Market”
Delivering his sermon titled “Why Do We Dedicate Places of Worship?” with foundational text from Romans 15:4, the cleric reminded worshippers that church sanctuaries are dedicated to God because He remains the true builder and owner of His Church.
Expanding on the spiritual role of the church in contemporary society, Oyedepo admonished Christians against placing their ultimate hope in political leadership or material wealth to achieve inner tranquility:
