ABUJA, NIGERIA — First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has arrived in Ogun State to lead the official zonal launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme.
The initiative involves the direct distribution of food items and relief supplies to vulnerable and indigent households across the South-West geopolitical zone. State governors, first ladies, and key government stakeholders gathered for the event at Makun, Sagamu.

According to an official disclosure from the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Information and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, the First Lady’s visit incorporates several developmental projects across Ogun State:

Zonal Food Bank Launch: Commencing at Makun, Sagamu, the food bank initiative serves as part of federal social intervention measures designed to cushion economic pressures on low-income families.

Housing Project Commissioning: Senator Tinubu will commission the newly constructed 108-unit Muhammadu Buhari Estate situated at Kobape, Abeokuta.

Healthcare Infrastructure Unveiling: She is scheduled to inaugurate the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, a 250-bed ultra-modern hospital facility in Abeokuta designed to provide specialized medical services to Ogun State residents.

Stakeholder Engagement: The First Lady will hold a civil stakeholder meeting at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta, to engage local community representatives, women groups, and state leaders.
