ABUJA, NIGERIA — Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for a two-week working vacation in Europe as part of his annual leave for 2026.
The development was confirmed in an official executive statement issued on Thursday, August 6, 2026, by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), Stanley Nkwocha.
During the recess, the Vice President will continue to monitor key executive assignments, policy implementations, and administrative priorities remotely before returning to full official duties in Abuja.
