FG deepening fiscal, monetary policy alignment to stimulate economic growth, says Edun

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun, says the Federal Government is committed to deepening alignment of Nigeria’s fiscal and monetary policies to stimulate economic growth.

According to a statement by the Director, Information and Public Relations in the ministry, Mohammed Manga, Edun expressed the commitment during a working visit to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Monday

Edun said that the commitment was against the backdrop of easing of the country’s inflation rate to 22.97 per cent in May.

He said that discussions with the CBN Governor, Yemi Cardoso, were focused on sustaining the momentum to stabilising prices, boosting investor confidence, and empowering private sector-led growth.

The minister reiterated his commitment to collaborative economic management, signalling a renewed focus on driving sustainable growth and developmen.
