United Nigeria Airlines Removes VeryDarkMan, Mr. Jollof After Altercation at Asaba Airport

United Nigeria Airlines has confirmed that two passengers were deboarded following an altercation during the boarding of Flight UN0523 at the Asaba International Airport on Monday, November 17, 2025.
In a statement signed by the airline’s Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka, MNIPR, the passengers were identified as Martins Vincent Otse, also known as “VeryDarkman,” and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, popularly called “Mr. Jollof.” The dispute reportedly occurred as passengers were boarding the morning flight.
According to the airline, its crew intervened swiftly and professionally to de-escalate the situation in line with global aviation safety protocols. Both individuals were immediately removed from the aircraft to ensure the safety and comfort of other passengers and crew.
The statement noted that the passengers were handed over to airport security for further investigation, while the flight departed safely after all standard procedures had been completed.
United Nigeria Airlines reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for any behaviour that endangers the security or well-being of passengers or crew, stressing that safety remains its highest priority.
