AFCON: Angola not in Ivory Coast by luck – Super Eagles coach, Peseiro warns

Super Eagles boss Jose Peseiro has warned that Angola is not in Ivory Coast by luck amid the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

Peseiro said this during his pre-match conference on Thursday ahead of Nigeria’s quarter-final clash with Angola on Friday evening.

“They [Angola] are not here by luck. They have shown a lot of capability to reach the quarter-finals,” the 63-year-old tactician said.

“Our team has scored 5 goals in 4 matches so far. We will attack with 11 and defend with 11 as well.”

Nigeria head to the game after beating Cameroon 2-0 in the round of 16.

Angola, on the other hand, defeated Namibia 3-0.

The kick-off time for the Nigeria vs Angola clash is 6 pm.
