Tinubu Marks 74th Birthday with Call for Unity, Optimism

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and goodwill messages as he marked his 74th birthday, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous nation.

In a message addressed to citizens, the President thanked Nigerians for their prayers, patriotism, and solidarity, noting that the encouragement from across the country continues to inspire his leadership.
He also acknowledged individuals and groups who placed congratulatory messages in newspapers and sponsored radio and television broadcasts in his honour, describing their gestures as deeply appreciated.
President Tinubu paid special tribute to his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, for her “kind and loving words,” and extended appreciation to Vice President Kashim Shettima for his remarks.
Consistent with what he described as his long-standing tradition, the President said he chose to observe the occasion in a low-key manner, in consideration of the current national mood.
Reflecting on his administration’s reforms, Tinubu acknowledged the challenges encountered but expressed optimism that the sacrifices made were beginning to yield results. He pointed to emerging positive indicators, while noting that ongoing global developments, including the Middle East crisis, have posed temporary setbacks.
“The credit for the positive outcomes we have achieved does not belong solely to me,” he said, attributing progress to collective efforts by his administration and Nigerians.
As his government approaches its third anniversary, the President reaffirmed his belief that Nigeria would overcome its current challenges with sustained public support.
He urged citizens to remain united and committed to national development, stressing the need to build “a stronger, prosperous and more resilient nation” that would stand as the pride of Africa.
The President concluded by thanking Nigerians once again for their goodwill and support.
