Global energy markets and international diplomatic corridors were thrown into panic on Thursday morning as Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned what it termed a “flagrant, unprovoked violation of international law” by the United States military. Tehran has explicitly warned Washington that it will show “not the slightest hesitation” in deploying full military assets to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The latest crisis stems from a series of high-intensity military engagements in southern Iran. According to official briefings from Tehran, U.S. aerial projectiles targeted the perimeter of the strategically vital Bandar Abbas Airport. The assault prompted an immediate, asymmetrical response from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which launched targeted retaliatory strikes against an American airbase situated in Kuwait.
