Dangote Refinery has announced that it has registered members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, MOMAN and the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, DAPPMAN, as official distributors of its petroleum products.
The company disclosed this in a statement on its official X account on Tuesday.
The 650,000 barrels per day refinery added that it is registering other marketers that have signified interest in the nation’s oil sector.
“Three prominent associations that constitute 75 per cent of the total market in Nigeria have been registered.
“The Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN), the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), and the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN).
“We are also considering other marketers that have signified interest,” the company wrote.
The development follows the commencement of production at Dangote Refinery last week.
The company had stated that it would commence supply of diesel and JetA1 or aviation fuel in the domestic market pending the Federal Government’s approval.
Marketers had hinted at an imminent reduction in the price of fuel with the commencement of operations by Dangote and other in-country refineries.
