Wizkid’s O2 Arena concert tickets sell out in minutes
Wizkid’s 20,000 concert tickets at the O2 arena in London sold out just 12 minutes after the sale began.
The annual Wizkid concert is scheduled to hold in November.
However, all the 20,000 tickets available were picked up in record time.
Wizkid himself announced the record sale.
“Sold out the 02 Arena in 12 minutes. London! I love you,” he captioned the flyer of the show which he posted on Instagram.
Wizkid’s partner and manager attested to the claim saying, “This feeling is undeniably insane. Wizkid sold out the O2 Arena in 12 minutes. Absolute madness .”
Sony Music UK’s social media handle also responded to Wizkid’s claim saying, “Legendary behaviour.”
Wizkid’s post has generated over 17,000 comments as fans complained about how they were unable to buy a ticket.
Some fans even want the Grammy winner to announce another date when a second concert will hold this year.
The show will be a part of The O2’s Welcome Back Show series where Wizkid will perform his Made In Lagos show to full capacity crowds on Sunday, 28 November 2021.
