Ayo Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, is an Afrobeats superstar. On Wednesday, he unveiled a highly anticipated collaboration with fellow artist Davido.
The 32-year-old singer announced his big announcement on his Instagram stories.
He wrote, “After my MLLE tour !! Davido and I are going on tour! Save your coins! I no one hear pim!!”
Wizkid FC, or the 30 BG gang as their followers are known, have gone to social media to celebrate what they call the biggest news of 2023, although few specifics about the anticipated tour have been released.
In a short video that appeared like a studio session, Wizkid teased an upcoming single with “Rema” and tagged singer Wande Coal on his social media handles.
The two musicians made up during Wizkid’s performance at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos.
This was the first time the two vocalists had shared a stage together.
The crowd went wild when Wizkid took the initiative to get Davido on stage alongside him.
This action by Wizkid ended rumours that he and Davido had been feuding for years.
Witnessing these two superstars collaborate on Davido’s chart-topping song “Fia” was a sight to behold.
Fans were blown away by seeing their favourite artists performing together again after many years.
