We must attract our best achievers into LASU Alumni – Folake Marcus Bello

A prominent alumna of the Lagos State University (LASU), Ambassador Folake Marcus Bello has called on the Executives and Board of Trustees of the LASU Alumni Association to make good effort to attract graduates of the university who are excelling in their various fields of endeavour into the fold of the association.

She made the call on Friday while being received by a combined team of representatives of the Executives and the Board of Trustees (BoT), led by Mr. Teju Sonoiki at the Association’s Secretariat on the university’s main campus Ojo.

Folake Marcus Bello, who was a former Nigeria Ambassador to Zambia and Malawi, and also a former Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs/Social Welfare, expressed delight at efforts being made by the Executives and the BoT to reposition the Association.

A lawyer and philanthropist, Folake Marcus Bello, expressed delight to be part of LASU Alumni Association and pledged to do her best to further its goals and aspirations.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Association’s BoT, Mr. Teju Sonoiki expressed delight to welcome an alumna of the calibre of Ambassador Folake Marcus Bello into the fold.

He briefed her of the efforts to reposition the Association, and also about the two major projects being embarked on.

Also on hand to receive Ambassador Folake Marcus Bello were Mr. Wale Anthony (National General Secretary), John Akingbade (National Financial Secretary), Prof. Gbenga Oladimeji (Secretary of BoT), Prof. Bola Oyefolu (member of BoT), and Mr. Lateef Salami (Alumni Relations Officer).
