UNILAG releases cut-off marks for 2021/22 admissions

The University of Lagos, UNILAG has finally released the 2021-2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination merit admission cut-off marks into the institution.

Newsmen report that the cut-off marks for UNILAG showed different marks set for merit and for candidates from the school’s catchment area of Lagos, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, and Ekiti States.

Even within the catchment area, the various states have their own cut-off marks with Medicine and Surgery having the highest cut off marks on merit at 80.8.

It is followed by Computer Engineering which has a cut-off mark of 79.3. Dentistry has a cut-off mark of 77.4.

The UNILAG cut-off marks were released on the university’s website.

It also showed that other competitive courses included Accounting which has 74.1 as cut-off mark; Computer Engineering -79.3; Architecture – 74.725; Law – 76.5; Pharmacy -76.125; Computer Science – 77.875;

Mass Communication -72.125; Economics – 72.875.

Meanwhile, besides the cut-off marks as released by UNILAG, GreenWhiteGreen GWG had reported that the University of Ibadan emerged as the nation’s top ranked university.

The ranking which was carried out using twelve indicators involved one hundred and thirteen (113) universities across the country.

The institutions were ranked based on the total number of full-time students, number of international students, students and staff ratio, efficiency, google scholar index and contribution to the knowledge economy.

Other criteria include; percentage of international staff, percentage of Programmes with full-time accreditation, all citations per capital, amongst others.
