Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has claimed the President Bola Tinubu administration has made life easier for citizens without compromising national security.
Tunji-Ojo disclosed this at the Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
According to him, the government has improved passport issuance, border security, and conditions of service.
He said that the government has established a 21st-century border control centre in the Nigeria Immigration Service, visa issuance centre, and the centralisation of passport issuance.
The minister revealed that with Nigeria’s border security architect, no criminal can enter Nigeria without being apprehended.
“This is a government that understands security.
“No wanted persons in the world can enter Nigeria without being apprehended.
“That is why the government came up with peculiar allowances, provided equipment and insurance for officers.
“Paramilitary officers will tell you that you are better off today than many years back,” he said.
