Tinubu focused on Nigeria, not Atiku – Presidency

The Presidency has declared that President Bola Tinubu is done with issues regarding Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Public Communication and Orientation, Sunday Dare, said the president is focused on bringing succour to Nigerians.

Dare was reacting to Atiku’s remark that Tinubu should forget about 2027 permutations and focus on governance.

Atiku, through his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, said: “This hunger is becoming unbearable; it’s what we should be addressing, not political manoeuvres for 2027.”

Shaibu’s statement was a response to the remarks by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike that Atiku won’t be allowed to emerge as PDP’s presidential candidate in 2027.

Reacting, Dare told journalists in Abuja: “We have a country to run; we are done with Atiku. Mr. President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was elected by Nigerians to run this country and that is the focus right now to bring succour to our people, to deliver on the reforms that are ongoing, that is what is important for now and that’s the focus.”
