Tinubu congratulates Muslims on Eid-el-Maulud

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian Muslims on this year’s commemoration of the Maulud Nabiy, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.

Tinubu urged Muslims to use the period for deep reflection and remembrance of the Holy Prophet’s exemplary conduct and noble teachings.

Mr Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser, Information and Strategy, made this known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

“As we mark the Maulud, we should all reflect on the life lived by Prophet Muhammad, exemplified by purity, selflessness, perseverance, kindness and compassion. We must endeavour to imbibe those virtues,” he said.

President Tinubu also urged the Muslim faithful to dedicate the Maulud holiday to pray for the country and show empathy and compassion toward one another.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, minister of interior, had on Friday declared Monday as public holiday to mark this year’s Eid Maulud celebration.

Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has assured that President Bola Tinubu is leading a comprehensive economic revitalisation agenda aimed at enhancing the standard of living for Nigerians.

Ganduje gave the assurance in a statement on Sunday in Abuja while felicitating with Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud.

He urged Muslims to reflect on Prophet Muhammad’s exemplary life and emulate his noble qualities, stressing that the Prophet’s teachings of peace, love, and compassion remained a beacon of hope for humanity.

“This auspicious occasion marks a significant milestone in the Islamic calendar, serving as a reminder of the Prophet’s teachings.

“As we celebrate his birthday, we must reflect on his exemplary life and strive to emulate his noble qualities.

“The Prophet Muhammad embodied exceptional leadership, wisdom, and kindness. His message of Islam offers guidance and hope to humanity.

“As we commemorate his birthday, we must recommit to the principles of justice, equality, and fairness he espoused,” Ganduje advised.

He encouraged APC members to use the occasion to reflect on their faith and renew their commitment to Prophet Muhammad’s teachings.

Ganduje also charged them to work together to build a just, equitable, and peaceful society, urging continued prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity in Nigeria.

“In the spirit of this season, I urge all Nigerians to reaffirm their trust and support for President Tinubu.

“This is as he spearheads a comprehensive economic revitalisation agenda, driven by an unwavering commitment to transformative change, aimed at enhancing the standard of living for all Nigerians,” Ganduje said.
