Tinubu appoints ex-presidential candidate Durotoye, 4 others to media team

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Fela Durotoye, the presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria party (ANN) in the 2019 elections as a member of his media team.

Durotoye, president of the GEMSTONE Nation Builders Foundation and a motivational speaker, was among the new people appointed to serve in the the Media & Publicity Directorate.

Mr. Fela Durotoye will serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Values & Social Justice.

The other members of the team are;

Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo (Senior Special Assistant to the President — Public Engagement)

Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe (Senior Special Assistant to the President — Strategic Communications)

Mr. Aliyu Audu (Special Assistant to the President — Public Affairs)

Mr. Francis Adah Abah (Personal Assistant to the President — Special Duties).

President Tinubu has further approved the secondment of Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe to serve as the Communications Adviser to the President of the ECOWAS Commission.

According to Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser on media to the President, Tinubu has tasked all new appointees who are serving in the Media & Publicity directorate to uphold the highest standards of decorum and decency in their engagements with all members of the public.

Already in the media team are Tunde Rahman, Temitope Ajayi, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, all SSAs.
