South Korea end Nigeria’s U-20 World Cup dream

Nigeria have bowed out of the 2023 U-20 World Cup after slumping to a 1-0 defeat against South Korea on Sunday.

The Flying Eagles enjoyed the earlier exchanges but failed to make them count in the quarter-final clash.

The Flying Eagles started the match impressively looking for an early goal with Muhammad having the chance to open the scoring, but his shot was blocked in the 2nd minute.

The first half of this duel ended goalless with Flying Eagles and South Korean players unable to find the back of the net.

And in the second half, South Korean players changed their style and they later punished the Flying Eagles.

Seok-Hyun Choi scored the only goal that gave South Korea their win in the 95th minute of the extra time.

The Asian giants have now qualified for semi final and will be looking forward to clinching the trophy.
