A lady identified as Lola of Abuja has reacted angrily hearing that Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, is set to marry his sixth wife, Temitope Adesegun, on Monday, October 24, 2022.
This comes just four days after he married his fifth wife.
Moses Olafare, the monarch’s spokesperson, revealed on Sunday in a Facebook post that the soon-to-be sixth Queen is an Ijebu Princess.
Olafare wrote, “Olori Temitope Adesegun Ogunwusi an Ijebu Princess cum Ile-Ife Queen. Tomorrow is the D-day.”
I’m learning from this Ooni’s marriage marathon that women are the greatest enablers of patriarchy. How do you let someone acquire 6 of you in 1 year? Are you a handbag, sis?

Other Nigerians have also reacted towards Ooni’s multiple weddings within two months.
I love Ooni of Ife tho.

The Ooni of Ife just married another high valued, educated and exposed woman; making them six in his Palace.
I thought the female gender hate polygamy?"In the realm of wealth and fame, there are no feminists".

The women that Ooni of Ife married were not broke. You can’t compare them to those who wait for a man to pay for their hair and nails. That marriage is for power and class. Well, they seem like they needed a husband too. For those asking if I’d do it, I don’t do beardless men.

Remember that the king married five women in less than two months. He married Mariam Anako on September 6, 2022, and Elizabeth Akinmudai on October 9, 2022; Tobiloba Philips married Ashley Adegoke on October 14, 2022, and Ronke Ademiluyi on October 20, 2022.
Newmen report that the sixth wife of Ooni will be welcomed on Monday.
The six marriages of the Ooni in the last two months were preceded by the walk out of his first two wives after he became a monarch.
The royal monarch’s first wife was Adebukola Bambota who he married as a prince of Ife in 2008, well before he ascended the throne.
The marriage packed up before he became king and he married Olori Zainab Wuraola who walked away from her marriage to the Osun monarch not long after the marriage for yet unexplained reasons. The royal monarch was without an official consort for some time after that before the royal monarch married Akure based prophetess, Silekunola Naomi.
