Building the Capacity of Women in the North-east to demand for their right
Women Situation Room Nigeria (WSRN) is a platform and movement of women committed to mobilizing support for women’s participation in the Nation’s development, peace and stability through substantive participation in effective conflict resolution, leadership, decision making processes, peace and nation building.
On Monday 15th August, 2016 WSRN flagged off its Geo political Zone capacity building and networking meetings with a one-day North East Zonal Capacity building workshop on Advocacy, Team Building and Networking, Data Collection, reporting and communication for her State Coordinators from the six states of the region – Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe.
The aim of the Capacity Building Workshop was to equip the state coordinators with the requisite skills to effectively engage stakeholders and mobilize support for women participation in the Nation’s development, peace and stability.
The one day training workshop was graced by the presence of the National Coordinator of the WSRN, Mrs. Joy Onyesoh. WSRN is in all the 36 states of Nigeria with a National Secretariat in Abuja FCT.
