Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing invited to palace after ‘wooing’ Ooni of Ife
Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday visited Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwunsi, in his palace at Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Monday.
The visit came a few weeks after Nkechi “joked” about becoming the seventh wife of the monarch.
In a short statement with the photo of herself and Ooni, the actress said “I am patiently waiting for my turn”.
“Ooni of Ife sir, I am patiently waiting for my turn. thank you in advance, sir.”
The post was not well accepted by Nigerians as many slut-shamed the actress but she got an invitation to the palace after the ‘joke.’
Giving details of her recent visit to the palace, Nkechi said she was invited by the fifth wife of Ooni, Queen Aderonke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi as one of the judges for Queen Moremi Ajasoro (QMA) International Competition.
“It was an honor to be invited to the palace by her Royal majesty Olori Aderonke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi as one of the judges for @qmainternational. Indeed we be doing soo much good in the eyes of strangers. I do not take this opportunity and privilege for granted ma. When I got that call, I thought the king was going to put me in prison but one mind told me NBS go on that trip you might be wrong, now it doesn’t matter what name you call me, Olosho, ashawo, dirty, razz, uncouth, in fact, I have been called diff names on this app, but I did nothing but focus! Cus really those who say you do too much,will D*E to have your space,once you slow down they will take your place without flinching. I Nkechi Blessing Sunday remain UNSTOPPABLE. You all brought me this far all in the name of trolling and negative comments. Please don’t stop, it’s all love from this side,” Nkechi stated.
After Nkechi Blessings’ explanation, the organizers of the Queen Moremi Competition also thanked the actress for a job well done.
“Interview with @nkechi_blessing_sunday. We are so honored to have you as one of our judges and thanks for making the whole auditioning session more fun,” the organizers wrote on Instagram.
