Lekan Ogunbanwo resumes as CEO of digital satellite TV station

Renowned broadcaster and a former Permanent Secretary, Lagos Television/Radio Services in the Lagos State Civil Service, Mr. Lekan Ogundanwo, has resumed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Office (CEO) of PlusTV Africa, a popular digital satellite televison station based in Victorial Island.

The development is sequel to his retirement from the Lagos State Civil Service, and suspension of his bid to represent the people of Lagos East Senatorial District in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

An alumnus of the highly ranked Lagos State University (LASU), and a former President of its Alumni Association, Ogunbanwo was one of the six aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who withdrew from the race, in line with the wishes of the party leaders, for Mr. Tokunbo Abiru to emerge as the party’s candidate in the October 31 bye-election for the Lagos East Senatorial District.

Plus TV Africa is a Nigerian 24-Hour news channel which broadcasts across Africa via StarTimes dish platform and on DSTV Channel 408. The TV station airs in over 30 countries with more than 12 million viewers across the African countries.
