Kylian Mbappe has not told me he is leaving Parc des Princes – PSG boss

PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino spoke in a press conference prior to the match against Reims and he said openly that Mbappe has not mentioned anything about him leaving.

PSG have still yet to give in to Real Madrid when it comes to Mbappe. The Parisians have even received an ultimatum from Real Madrid, who could take him for free next season.

In the middle of rumours, Pochettino, who on more than one occasion made his opinion clear, once again issued a message in the press room: He hasn’t told me he is going to leave PSG. He’s working very well. Our president and our sporting director have made the club’s position very clear.”

The Argentinian coach also referred to Messi’s possible debut against Reims. “He will be with us, but we have to decide who will form part of the starting XI. We have to analyse it. We’ll see whether he’s in it or not.”

“I came across a very motivated Leo. I’m trying to discover what we are experiencing and as we spend time together, we start discovering things. All surroundings are different and so you can’t compare them. We are discovering a great professional in Messi, who is adapting to a new reality. We are talking about one of the best, if not the best footballer in the world,” he added.

Lastly, Pochettino also talked about whether Donnarumma would get the chance. “All the players which are in the squad have the chance to play. We always choose players on merit based on what we see in training and when they play,” he concluded.
