Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has expressed Tehran’s readiness for cooperation with Niger in economic areas, according to a statement published on the website of the Iranian president’s office.
He said during a meeting with Niger’s Foreign Minister, Bakary Yaou Sangare, in the Iranian capital, Tehran, that over the past four decades. `Iran has gained valuable experiences and capabilities in different areas.
Raisi stressed that the resistance and independence-seeking of Niger’s people in the face of the Europeans’ “hegemonic” policies indicated that Africa had truly gotten over with colonialism.
The president said that Israel’s present attacks on Gaza and Western countries’ support for Israel are “clear manifestations of the Western “racism and colonialism at the time being”.
On his part, Niger’s minister praised Iran for its advances in different areas, saying his trip to Tehran was aimed at improving friendly relations between the two countries and raising the level of bilateral cooperation.
