The immediate past Governor of Kano, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has claimed he is not looking for any appointment from President Bola Tinubu.
Ganduje stated this in an interview published by BBC Hausa on Tuesday. He, however, admitted he would accept any appointment if offered.

“I am not looking for any appointment. But, if I am offered any, I would take it. I wish him (Tinubu) well and will continue to pray to Allah to help him. People voted for him because of the belief that he will emulate the things he did in Lagos State while he was governor and because he is a true democrat.”

Ganduje also said he did not attend Abba Yusuf’s inauguration ceremony on Monday, because “he wanted to prevent their supporters from clashing during the event.”
