Husband narrates how fake doctor harvested late wife’s kidney

Another victim of the self-acclaimed Jos medical doctor, Mallam Usman Abdullahi, whose wife was operated upon by Dr. Noah Kekere, the owner of Murna Clinic and Maternity, at Yanshanu in Rikkos area of Plateau State, yesterday, narrated how his wife died in Bauchi after her operation at the clinic.

Abdullahi, a bricklayer in Jos, told The Guardian that when his wife started complaining after the operation, they went to a traditional home for treatment.

According to him, his wife developed complications after her delivery through Caesarian operation.
“We initially tried to manage the incident, using orthodox means, but after one month, she died of stomach complications,” he said.

Abdullahi, who spoke through an interpreter, Baba Mohammed, said he did not report the matter to the police or go to any other hospital, since he assumed that she would be fine, not knowing that her kidney has been removed.
He said: “I invited members of her family to witness the situation. I believe it is the will of God, so we didn’t push it further. We have left everything to God.

“As a Muslim, I have forgiven the doctor, I am sure he didn’t do it deliberately. As humans, we are not perfect. The doctor made a mistake but we have to forgive him, so that God can, in turn, forgive us.”

Meanwhile, a police source in Jos, said investigation has commenced on the matter and journalists would be briefed on the outcome.
