Chief Wole Olanipekun, a distinguished legal luminary and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), is set to deliver the keynote address at the 11th edition of the Annual Pastor E.A. Adeboye Birthday Public Lecture. The event, organized by the Triumphant Elders Consultative Forum of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Youth Centre in Redemption City, Ogun State, from 11 a.m.
This year’s lecture coincides with the 83rd birthday of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of RCCG, and will focus on the theme: “Justice and Equity: Solution to Socio-Economic Problems in Nigeria.”
According to Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, a member of the Lecture Planning Committee, two eminent Nigerians will serve as discussants at the event: Justice Eni Esan, a retired Judge of the Oyo State Judiciary, and Mr. Leye Oyebade, a retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police.
The annual lecture, established to address critical societal issues, has featured past keynote speakers such as former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, renowned virologist Prof. Oyewale Tomori, legal expert Pastor Femi Atoyebi (SAN), historian Prof. Akinjide Osuntokun, and Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank. Last year’s lecture was delivered by Dr. (Mrs.) Oby Ezekwesili, who spoke on “Rebuild, Renew, Restore: The Need of the Nigerian Nation.”
A large turnout of dignitaries, professionals, and members of the public is expected at this year’s event, as discussions will center on the role of justice and equity in addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges.
