
Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of Senator Ike Ekweremadu, erstwhile deputy president of the Senate has returned to Nigeria.
Reliable sources confirmed that Mrs. Ekweremadu arrived in the country on Tuesday. Her return follows her controversial sentence for seeking an organ transplant for her ailing daughter.
The media reported that Senator Ike Ekweremadu, his wife, and Dr. Obinna Obeta were sentenced by a UK court for their involvement in organ harvesting. The former Deputy Senate President was given a 10-year sentence, while his wife received six years.
Mrs. Ekweremadu’s return has been celebrated in Enugu State, with many residents praying for the swift return of her husband.
