With the result of the All Progressive Congress, APC presidential primary now known focus is now shifting towards the unique record of four aspirants who actively competed for the presidential ticket but ended up with zero vote.
Recall that there was presence of heavy security personnel at the Eagles Square, Abuja venue of the APC national convention on Tuesday and streets around the premises were gridlocked as APC supporters wearing the party colours of green, white and red gathered in and around the venue.
After keeping citizens in suspense for a long time, the primary election result was announced on Wednesday afternoon.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Bola Tinubu, National leader of the All Progressives Congress APC on emerged the presidential candidate of the party with 1,271 votes.
Tinubu was followed by former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, who scored 316 votes and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who scored 235 votes.
A total of fourteen candidates were in the race as nine aspirants withdrew from the race including Mrs Uju Kennedy-Ohnenye, Dr Felix Nicholas, former Gov. Godswill Akpabio, former Gov. Ibikunle Amosun, former Speaker Dimeji Bankole, Sen. Ajayi Boroffice, Gov. Muhammad Badaru, Sen. Ken Nnamani and Gov. Kayode Fayemi.
However, four candidates who purchased the APC presidential nomination form worth N100m, went through all consultations and campaigns but came out with zero vote. The outcome of the election for them has stirred massive reactions from social media users.
The four candidates with zero votes were Rochas Okorocha, Jack Rich, Tunde Bakare and Ikeobasi Mokhelu.
